Kriya
Matsyendranath states that all actions on the path of yoga are achieved through the threefold sakti of iccha (divine will), jnana (knowing), and kriya (completed effort). Progress on this path occurs in two ways. The first stage krtima (mechanical) is artificial whereas the second sahaja (naturally arising) is spontaneous.
The artificial path is the manipulated cultivation of kundali, while sahaja is achieved through the perfect union of iccha & jnana. This is achieved through Nauli Kriya, the king of the shat-karmas (purificatory acts). In Hatha Yoga, Theos Bernard stresses that Nauli Kriya will not succeed unless the necessary preparatory work has been completed.
The required preparatory work relates to the network of energy junctions which run from the lower section of the abdomen all the way to the rectal opening. These junctions are fully activated through the appropriate arrangements of karanas and seated asanas prior to the engagement of nauli kriya. When this process is completed through the application of nauli kriya the iccha and jnana are drawn into a single unit.
This completed process opens the gate to mudra and pranayama, the purpose of which is the control and suspension of the pranic force that is the function of the atma (soul).
This retreat is for all level of yoga practitioners.
