“The intent of 1% for the Planet is to help fund diverse environmental organisations so that collectively they can be a more powerful source in solving the world’s problems.”

We have made the 1% pledge for our planet

Shadow Yoga is concerned with the social and environmental impacts of industry and the marginalisation of various groups. We have pledged 1% of our sales to help fund environmental organisations that our close to our hearts. We appreciate the support of our community in this.

In 2002, Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, created 1% for the Planet and started a global movement. “The intent of 1% for the Planet is to help fund these diverse environmental organizations so that collectively they can be a more powerful source in solving the world’s problems.”

Who we support

Based in New South Wales and working across Australia, the Valley Centre’s vision is to build sustainable resilient communities to secure a cohesive, empowered, creative future where communities are thriving, self-sufficient and able to respond to challenges we face.

Love Mercy exists to empower communities in Northern Uganda to overcome poverty caused by the horrors of war. They champion life changing and diverse projects including healthcare, education, clean water and micro-finance.

Our Community and 1% For The Planet

Shadow Yoga teachers and our community of students are also contributing to 1% For The Planet.

Each season we will offer a Q&A Zoom session associated with one of our on-demand courses. Attendance will be by contribution – 100% of which will go towards our pledge.
