Join us in one of Asia’s most sacred landscapes — amidst the serene beauty of the Himalayas of India – to cultivate your personal sadhana and share the teachings of Hamsa Sadhana.
Hamsa Sadhana
This sādhana is offered in reverence to the guru Matsyendranath, sun of the eight directions and his disciple Gorakshanath, moon of the sixteen adharas of the waxing and waning cycles.
Their creation, Shadanga Yoga, the origin of contemporary Hatha Yoga, rests on the yoking of the energies of the sun and moon. This yoking is accomplished by the mastery of the following three-phase angahara (arrangement). This mastery takes one to the soaring heights of khechari mudra and thus obtains the key that unlocks the door to kundalini śakti.
The Feeding of the Fish – Matsya Bhojana Dānam
The Lightning Path of the Swan – Hamsa Pat Vidyut
The Dreaming Swan Meditation – Svapna Hamsa Dhyanam
These sadhana-angaharas will be introduced this year and taught in retreat settings. They consist of Nrtta angaharas, kriyas, mudras interwoven with pranayama, mantra and dhyāna (meditation).
